Keep up-to-date with everything going on in St.Brendan's GAA Club

In this page, I hope to have all the news from the club. The only news I have, is from the recent AGM of the club. (see below right) and of the two club players who have made the county U-21 panel.(see under the Galway logo)

But, as always, if you have any news, which I have left out and you think should be here, please e-mail me and I will post them ASAP.

**************

The legendary sporting figure Mattie Mc Donagh sadly passed away on Sunday 10th April after a long illness. This website would like to extend our condolensces to his family. Mattie Mc Donagh is the only person in Connacht to hold 4 All-Ireland Football Medals. An achievement which is unlikely to be equalled or bettered for a good while. Mattie was a great conversationalist, he could have a great chat with anyone from Gay Byrne to the ordinary folk of Ballygar. He will be dearly missed by all from the club, province and country.

News Just In!!!

2 club players make County U-21 Panel.

I would like to congatulate Tomas Coyne and Michael Killilea who have made the coveted Galway U-21 Panel. Michael was part of a Galway Minor team a few years ago, but this is Tomas' first time on the county team. This is a major achievement to have made the last 32 in a County which is very strong in footballing terms.

Tomas applies his trade in the forward line, while Michael is a trusted goalkeeper. Both are part of the Senior setup in St. Brendan's GAA Club.

I, as I'm sure a lot of you, would like to congratulate both players and wish them the very best of luck and success in their exploits in the county scene, under Pete Ford.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Other items that will appear in this page in the future.

Also, in this section I will hope to have any other news from the club. e.g. new tracksuits, player(s) picked for the county panel etc..

So, if you have any news please send it to me ASAP and therefore we can keep this site up to date. (see "Contact Info" for details of how to send me any news).

I currently have no relevant pic for this slot, so please enjoy this totally irrelevant photo!!!
